John 5:26

I have a small greenhouse to help give seeds a running start for when spring hits our valley. In some little way, I gave life to the tiniest seeds by placing them in the best of soils. I love watching life begin.

Now think of this: There has never been a time when God did not have life. When we open Genesis we see that God "was" already there. How is that possible? In John 5:26 we read that "the Father has life in himself." Amazing!

We may not be able to comprehend this, other than to say that God is not governed by a wrist watch. He is not bound by time and sees the past and future as clearly as the present.

If this is the case then God knows precisely where your life is planted today. He knows the soil and the nutrients that are feeding your soul. And if this is the case we should then be more than willing to trust Him with our lives and allow his direction for every step we take.

Yes, you and I are in need of God's direction to that place where the soil is nutritious enough to bring new life. The place that gives us a running start for what's ahead.

Here's the Key: Navigate your life close to Him. "Draw near to God and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8).

Pause for a moment: Praise God that he knows your tomorrow. Be still. Commit every step you take today to God. Ask God to direct these steps in the way you should go. Praise God as you go. God knows your tomorrow.
